Digital Marketing Lead
As the Digital Marketing Lead for The Starfish Canada my main responsibilities included Email Marketing, Paid Search and SEM through Google Ads, creating branded graphics and written articles for the "Changemaker of the month" digital campaign I created, and collaborating with my team to develop an organization-wide digital marketing strategy.
During my Co-op term, I:
-developed and implemented digital marketing strategies across multiple channels to support the launch of 2 major organization-wide campaigns (social media, email, website development, and paid search)
-Established an Email marketing system using strategic copywriting and graphic design through Mailchimp and Canva
-Created the "Change-maker of the month" campaign to highlight a Starfish Community member and showcase their amazing work every month. This campaign included writing a monthly feature article, multiple email newsletter features, and improving the overall brand value to include more faces of the organization.
-Grew and improved SEM and Paid Search marketing through Google Ads and Google analytics, utilizing the Google for non-profit ad grant.
-Developed and improved the organization-wide brand kit and marketing strategy through effective collaboration with the Digital Marketing Team.
-Lead a project in collaboration with Northeastern University to refine and improve our social media content strategy.
Graphic Design and Email Marketing
Utilized my graphic design skills through Canva and my email marketing skills through Mailchimp to develop a Monthly Email Newsletter campaign.
I also employed my passion for writing to develop the Change-maker of the month series consisting of multi-channel marketing assets across email, website, and social to support monthly blog posts.
